About us
We are builder of reinforced timber frame houses (section 175x45mm or 200x45mm according to Nothern European countries standards). We are a family-run company of craftmen and because we are also citizen, we feel concerned as individuals about environmental issues. So we've decided to turn towards green building that is why our houses are bioclimatic and quasi passive.
EKOBEAM is a range of timber frame bioclimatic houses. The level of equipment for EKOBEAM houses allows to get a nearly passive bioclimatic house. Our houses display internal solid timber walls which means a more comfortable standard of living because living in a wooden house means living healthy. Wood cells act like natural air moisture regulator. Wood walls emit essential oils that refresh and cleanse the air.
Our houses are tailored hand made dwellings. The minimum floor area is 120m² (1400sqf) for price starting at €230,000 including VAT for a bioclimatic house and depending on level of finishes. We build in Switzerland, Spain, France, Ireland and UK and we are fully insured in each of these countries thanks to our local subsidiaries. As the timber frame construction is standardized it is a supplementary warranty for quality building.

Bioclimatic building
We believe in bioclimatic architecture as a way using the environment by working with natural forces around the building rather than against them and make the most of them.

EKOBEAM houses are equipped with systems that save energy and resources:
- canadian well associated with central heat recovery ventilation system
- rainwater harvesting system for flush and washing machine
- solar heating which supplies 80% of underfloor heating and hot water for tap and bath, the remaining heating is provided by an environmentally-friendly heater (pellet or stove) or even electric heater, gaz heater, etc.
- reinforced insulation with 30cm for the roof, 30 to 40cm for the walls (which includes 10 to 15cm of external insulation) and 30cm for the foundation slab. We use vegetal insulation material for walls and roof like wood fibres wool or cellulosic wool.
